Over the years, Steve has written countless songs for causes he believes in. Some of this work has been pro bono and some has been underwritten by grants.

This song was written with 10 students from an Arts high school in Pittsburgh as a commentary on systemic racism in our country. Commissioned by Peter Yarrow, Drew Goldstein and Leslie Kirsch

These two songs were written with a group of students from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Boca Raton FL to help capture their feelings surrounding the shooting at their school as well as to help them heal. Commissioned by Peter Yarrow
